I'm absolutely terrible when it comes to writing about myself. At this very moment, I can't even think of anything to type! So you know what? I just won't do it. Yeah, what you think about that, huh? HUH?

Ok, ok... I'll try a little harder...

Hi! I'm Rachel. I'm going to use this little typing space to go over some of the things in life that I believe I will never ever grow tired of. These things would include video games, anime/manga, the Internet, graphic design, web design, movies, music, and TV.

Video Games
The Fitzsimmons brothers introduced me to video games around the year 1999, and I am forever in their debt. They owned a Playstation, I owned an SNES. I remember the feeling I had when looking at the graphics Final Fantasy VII was sporting--shock! disbelief! utter amazement! It was then that I went out and purchased my very own Playstation.

I extended my collection of Playstation games. From what I can remember, I owned a good amount of crappy anime titles--Thousand Arms and Evil Zone come to mind--and Final Fantasy VII, VIII, and IX. At this point I can say this is when RPGs were forged as my all-time favourite genre in the video game world. It stills stands true to this day.

After the Playstation 2 was released, I bought a few games and stopped purchasing thereafter. I guess I could say I've lost almost all interest in purchasing consoles because of the fact I came from a poor family. While I was growing up I decided to stick to one thing that I would devote my time to: my computer. But I'll get into that later.

Let me also pay dedication to the N64, one of my favourite consoles to play when I was younger. I absolutely adore the Zelda series, even though I've only completed Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.

Anime and Manga
I was honestly debating on whether or not to add these two to my list. While I had a great experience with anime/manga when I was younger, throughout high school I totally stepped away. It wasn't until early 2007 that I started getting back into it. There is a chance that I will step away again, but I want to believe right now that I never will.

I first was obsessed with anime. Remember Toonami back in the late 90s? Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, Tenchi Muyo... Yep, that was my first introduction to anime. I would engulf myself into any show Toonami aired. Once I bought my first computer sometime in the early 90s and discovered the WWW, I began to engulf myself into more foreign goodness: merchandise, OSTs, etc. I also realized that Toonami wasn't showing nearly enough shows and began to purchase series/movies on DVD at my local Media Play (R.I.P!). Some titles I can remember are Serial Experiments Lain, Trigun, Princess Mononoke, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Grave of the Fireflies, and a lot, lot more.

Once I started high school, my interest in anime deteriorated. I felt like I couldn't connect to any of it, but I now realize that I was simply growing up. My tastes were finally evolving!

So, in early 2007 I started reading the Death Note manga. I now consider myself an anime/manga fan thanks to this wonderful series which I have praised a lot lot lot on another page. Aren't you lucky. ;)
